Red tent ceremony
Ceremonial Cacao - Singing - Sharing - Sisterhood
Around the New Moon each month I invite you to join me in the red tent - to gather women in the female temple, in that timeless space of being, of intuition, of sensing & ceremony. Guided by mama cacao, the steady beat of the drum and medicine songs we witness and with-ness each other and ourselves in sacred circle. Ending the evening with a Potluck (sammenskudsgilde), sharing stories and nourishment.
These ceremonies are opportunities to step into the medicine of slowness and of the feminine embrace of sisterhood and deep intuition.
The Red Tent
Let’s meet in the sacred space of the moon temple to remember together, to share stories and to care for each other.
It seems that most ancient traditions have different versions of “the Red Tent” or women’s lodge etc. where women would gather during their holiest of holy time: their moon blood (and potentially birth as well). This is not a place of punishment but of sanctuary. This is a time to not be working but instead be gathering in ceremony, in storytelling, in resting together and caring for each other.
Today we don’t all have our moon blood at the same time so instead of letting this ceremony be guided by the moon blood I chose to let the New Moon guide us. Let the darkness, the introverted, the void gather us together.

The medicine of Slowness
I believe in the power and medicine of slowness. I also believe that slowing down is essential in deepening our connection with our intuition, the present moment and mother earth. We need to slow down and step out of the busyness to be able to listen to nature within and all around us. Sacred sanctuary can be found everywhere - not just in ceremony but also in the mundane. Slowing down is for me one of the most profound ways to witness and be present in sacred sanctuary.
The medicine of Sisterhood
These ceremonies are invitations to gather, to witness and with-ness ourselves and each other. Supporting each other and deepening our connection to the power of the feminine - the strength and the vulnerability. Let’s explore, cultivate, honor, feel, play and love the deep ancient power within ourselves, each other and mother earth.
We are all on the receiving end of these ceremonies and also all part of giving. We create and hold the space together. Supporting and diving into what the present moment calls for and what is needed for each special woman present.
The Medicine of Cacao
Cacao has been used as a sacred plant medicine in rituals, ceremonies and rites of passage for many thousands of years in south and central America. It is an amazing and profoundly healing plant medicine - both gentle, powerful and enjoyable!
Ceremonial cacao is quite different than the hot cocoa you might remember from your childhood.
My Ceremonial Cacao comes from non-hybridized, non-plantation under-story trees in the ancient tropical rain forest of Guatemala and Mexico. It goes through minimum processing thus retain the active compounds and nutrients.
It is a natural aphrodisiac, elevates the mood & energy. It increases blood flow and stimulates the cardiovascular system (your heart and blood vessels, that supplies your organs with oxygen and nutrients). Basically, it is a magical bomb of nutrients and psychoactive compounds that is highly beneficial for the body as well as supporting us in being present, mindful & connected to ourselves and our hearts.
We work with 100% Pure, direct traded ‘Ceremonial Grade’ Cacao from around Lake Atitlán in Guatemala.

Intention/Prayer
Before reading this part I want to highlight that you don’t have to do any sort of work before the ceremony. If this long text already seems overwhelming - just skip it and go to the “physical preparation”. If you do want some more inspiration for the ceremony you can keep reading :)
As preparation for this ceremony I invite you to come with a direction/intention/prayer. This can be one theme or several related themes. As you feel yourself the days before and especially on the day itself when you start preparing for the ceremony: you might want to bring your intention/prayer into your meditations and practices. Here are a few ideas that might support you in zooming in. Overall, I invite you to let your heart speak and not get to mental in the whole thing. But see these questions are points of reflection that can support you in your exploration:
What emotions/visions/themes comes up when you connect to the energy of the Red Tent?
What comes up when feeling into your connection/relation to your body, your feminine energy and other women?
What are the present themes in your life right now that you might want to explore and potentially get support to in ceremony?
What is the most important for you to dive into / get a new perspective on right now?
Is there a specific way of being that you would like to practice during ceremony?
Are you experiencing strong blockages or openings in your life that you want to address/explore?
What feels the most nourishing and loving to look at?
Where do you feel your curiosity goes towards?
Physical preparation
Ceremonial cacao can be a little dehydrating so it is good to drink lots of water before and after the ceremony.
It is a good idea to eat healthy during the day and avoid coffee, big amounts of sugar and a big amount of dairy products.
Please arrive to the ceremony on an empty stomach (aka stop eating 2-3 hours before).
I invite you to avoid substances such as alcohol and marijuana on the day itself and possibly a few days before as well.
Once you register for the event I’ll send you a preparation guide for the ceremonial cacao.
